In this very personal text, I’ll mention my experiences surrounding the Saturn return.
But I won’t focus on my experiences or those of my friends and clients regarding this astrological transit.
I want to describe my experience with the Saturn return in terms of a project, a hobby, and a business.
This is the table of contents:

Let’s go.
The First Time I Heard About the Saturn Return
The first time I heard about the Saturn return was in 2016.
Back then, I had a boyfriend who was very disconnected from me. I was 25 years old and he was 29.
We spent some time with friends who knew about astrology. I was no expert at that period, but I found it interesting and compelling.
These friends explained to him that the first Saturn return was a maturity crisis where many doubts and reflections arise.
You can read the whole story in the first text published in this blog: Why I’m So Interested in the First Saturn Return (And You Should Too!)
The gist of it is that I became fascinated with the Saturn return. I decided to study it and prepare for it beforehand. My goal was not to be disconnected or alienated from my loved ones and my desires. When my Saturn return came, I’ll knew what to do.
I broke up with that boyfriend. Later on, in 2018, I dated someone else. He was also going through his first Saturn return and was also pretty disconnected from me and his desires.
Clearly, I had a severe case of paper-doll syndrome.
Instead of feeling discouraged, I doubled down on my studies of astrology and Saturn’s return. There was something about that transit that I needed to uncover and share with the world.
The First Iteration of My Project About the Saturn Return
The first iteration of my project about the Saturn return was in Spanish. Spanish is my native language.
This is the chronology of that project:
2019: I launched the WordPress blog Retorno de Saturno. It’s still up, but I have deleted many of the texts that weren’t that good. I started studying astrology formally at the Faculty of Astrological Studies.
2020: The beginning of my Saturn return in Aquarius! I was feeling fine, even though the world was in shambles. In the early days of the pandemic, I launched a Twitter and Instagram account. Twitter has always been my favorite social media platform, and I was pretty active there. At the height of my Twitter days, I had 15,000 followers. Instagram was not as successful because I didn’t enjoy it that much, so I didn’t post frequently. I gained around 2,000 followers. Both of those accounts are deleted now. People started asking me for readings, but I wasn’t confident in my ability to do them.
2021: The peak of my (very short) career in this iteration of my project about the Saturn return. I started offering readings and doing courses with other online creators. It became a business, not only a hobby. I was thriving on social media, too.
2022: My father passed away in January, when I was 30 years old. I had to deal with many unexpected issues and couldn’t focus on my astrological business. My brain wasn’t interested. The grieving process was hard. I didn’t see the point in preparing for the Saturn return when tragedies could pull the rug from under your feet. I shifted gears towards literature and didn’t engage with astrological content that much.
2023: My grandmother passed away. I had to deal with her succession, too, on top of grieving her loss and dealing with my father’s paperwork. This was the first year of my life in more than 10 years when I didn’t have social media accounts. Aah, the peace. I could hear the world around me becoming quieter.
2024: I decided to focus again on the Saturn return. And that’s the beginning of the second iteration.
The Second Iteration of My Project About the Saturn Return
The second iteration of my project about the Saturn return started in 2024.
In May 2024, I launched a blog in English about this astrological transit to reach a wider audience.
I knew I didn’t want to use social media. Therefore, I relied on SEO and Pinterest to direct traffic to the blog.
In October 2024, I launched a newsletter on Substack, and I started posting on Tumblr.
In January 2025, I sold my first offer within this second iteration. It was a workshop about The Astrology of 2025.
I delivered this workshop thanks to Cat Esteves, an astrologer based in London. I met Cat in August 2024. We both attended the Summer School organized by the Faculty of Astrological Studies at Oxford.
Attending the Summer School was one of the highlights of 2024. I’ll write about it in detail in the future.
People were kind enough to ask me for readings, but I only did a handful of them. Working one-on-one exhausts me. I’m still trying to decide how I envision First Saturn Return as a business.

What’s Next for First Saturn Return?
Truthfully, I still have a corporate job that allows me to view First Saturn Return as a hobby. I’m in no rush to decide how to monetize it, and even if I want to monetize it.
As stated earlier, I don’t want to do one-on-one readings because they exhaust me.
The one-to-many offers are enjoyable to me. I like teaching and doing Q&As.
I crave in-person events, but I know they can be more expensive. I may be offering in-person events once I find a place to call home. I could also create something more accessible on the internet.
Since writing is what I like the most, my newsletter will probably have a paid tier in the future. I also want to self-publish a short book about the Saturn return. It would be a present for loyal followers who attend my events or to give away in raffles.
I was thinking about launching a membership, but I’m not too sold on them. I don’t particularly enjoy memberships myself, so I want to offer something I like to consume, too.
This is why the newsletter, with the occasional paid course and workshop, and the even more occasional in-person event, may be the sweet spot for me.
However, I’m still experimenting and learning in the process.
Nothing is set in stone, and Saturn moves sloooooowly, so I have time. Time is definitely on my side.
Thank you for being here and supporting this project. Cheers to us, and until next week!
