Let’s go.

Meanings Associated With Jupiter in Astrology

Jupiter is a planet linked with growth and expansion. But growth and expansion are not always good. When debt grows, when bad health grows, when chaos grows, that’s not beneficial.

Besides growth and expansion, Jupiter is also associated with philosophy, meaning, and learning.

Connecting with your philosophy and with broader meanings can occur through studying, teaching, learning, and sharing with others.

Another one of Jupiter’s meanings is travel. Traveling can happen both literally and metaphorically.

You can travel by boarding a plane and arriving at a different destination. Metaphorically, you can engage in inner work to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your motivations.

This planet is also associated with gifts, luck, and talents.

Themes Connected With Jupiter in Cancer

The image that has come to mind while studying this transit is the phrase “coming home,” or returning home.

Topics related to your house and also your nationality, like your homeland in general, will be very prominent during the stay of Jupiter in Cancer.

In the news, we often see a lot of information about immigration, globalization, and conversations with different countries. People trying to buy or sell their houses and struggling with that process are another possible manifestation.

A housing crisis is currently unfolding worldwide. So those topics will be very prominent.

Currently, in the world, we have politicians who are closing frontiers and not allowing people to arrive in a new country or obtain a new citizenship. And those things will only become deeper and deeper.

I’m also interested in the news I’ve been reading recently about a decline in the number of people having children.

Natality is being reduced in almost every country in the world. Cancer, as a zodiac sign, is also associated with the mother, with nesting, with our childhood.

Cancer is a sign ruled by the Moon. And the Moon is connected with the uterus, the mom, conception, emotions, feelings, and being at home. When Jupiter visits this sign, those topics come to the forefront.

I’m assuming that during this year, we will see some governments providing incentives for people to have children. For example, a monthly allowance or invitations to specific countries.

If people have children, they may receive free housing or a similar benefit. A combination of Cancer topics will occur for sure while Jupiter visits this zodiac sign.

Since Cancer is a water sign, and Jupiter expands what it touches, I anticipate more extreme floods occurring.

To conduct a more comprehensive forecast, I also like to consider what was happening 12 years ago. That was when Jupiter stayed in Cancer for the last time. You can revise your personal life, as well as consider the global events that were happening.

Historians say that history does not repeat itself, but it rhymes, like in a poem. Something that occurred 12 or 13 years ago may resurface with a different shadow or with some minor differences.

The last time Jupiter stayed in Cancer was from June 25th, 2013, until July 16th, 2014.

What Will Happen to You During the Jupiter in Cancer Transit?

For you to make the most of this information, you have to know your rising or Ascendant sign. I will mention the presence of Jupiter in a specific house according to your ascendant.

If you have no way of knowing your Ascendant because you don’t know your exact time of birth, don’t worry. You can read the section about your Sun sign (if you were born during the day). Instead, you can read your Moon sign if you were born during the night.

Ideally, you have your birth chart and you know your time of birth. If that’s the case, read the section about your Ascendant or rising sign.

Ready? Here I come!

Jupiter in Cancer for Aries Risings

If you were born with the Ascendant in Aries, the Jupiter in Cancer transit will affect your fourth house.

This means that topics associated with your home, your family, your roots, and the traditions that you subscribe to will be modified.

You will experience some growth and expansion in those topics, but also a lot of questioning.

Maybe you grew up believing in something. Then, during this transit, you decide that it’s time to question the information you received while growing up.

Jupiter in Cancer for Taurus Risings

For those born with the Ascendant in Taurus, the Jupiter in Cancer transit will affect their third house.

The third house is associated with our immediate surroundings, meaning your neighborhood, your siblings, and the people with whom you engage. These relationships may not be particularly deep, but they are close enough.

The third house is also associated with education and learning. This may involve short studies, such as a course, rather than a university education, and short trips as well.

A lot of expansion and luck will arrive for you this year in these areas.

Jupiter in Cancer for Gemini Risings

If you were born with a Gemini Ascendant, the house that will be touched by Jupiter in Cancer is your second house.

The second house is associated with resources, values, finances, money, and all things related to the material world. So you will see expansion in these topics.

You may earn more money, and you may learn how to invest money to multiply it. Additionally, there may be a change or a deeper understanding of what you value.

Values sometimes are intangible. You may decide that you value traveling around the world instead of finding a corporate job and getting married.

Discovering the values that resonate with who you are today could be a good use of this transit.

Jupiter in Cancer for Cancer Risings

Jupiter will be visiting your first house if your natal Ascendant is Cancer.

The first house is the house connected with your body, your identity, and how you perceive the world. According to some branches of astrology, it’s the house of the mission, of the things that you have to do in this incarnation.

So this year, you will see a lot of expansion and a lot of questioning about what you want to do, who you are in this world, and what truly lights up your soul.

If you take the task of re-discovering yourself seriously, you will find what you want to do with your time on this earth.

Jupiter in Cancer for Leo Risings

If your rising sign is Leo, this transit will arrive in your twelfth house.

The twelfth house is associated with the unconscious, with mysticism, and with fears, too. You may need more rest, have vivid dreams, and feel more attracted to the esoteric than in other years.

You may meditate more or go on a retreat. Someone may invite you to do something that you have said no to in the past. And now that sounds like something you want to experience because your traditional path feels boring.

It could be a year where changes are subtle, where the transformation is not as explicit. It could also be a good year to consider therapy and explore your fears. Then, you can alchemize them and transform them into something different.

Jupiter in Cancer for Virgo Risings

For Virgo risings, this transit occurs in their eleventh house.

The eleventh house is the house of friends, associations, groups, clubs, and the collective in general.

It could be a prime moment for you to volunteer. Another option is to join a club where you share a passion with like-minded people. If you want to start an online business, you can find the people who resonate with what you do.

It’s a year where you have to be social. You have to go outside of your house, and you have to meet new people.

If you don’t have the opportunity to do so in person, you can do it online. The eleventh house is also connected with the internet.

Regardless of how you approach it, be sure to connect with others. Engage with people with whom you share something in common. Not superficial relationships, but relationships with people who are of interest to you.

Jupiter in Cancer for Libra Risings

If your rising sign is Libra, Jupiter visits your tenth house.

The tenth house is connected with our public life. It applies to your career and your job. It’s also related to projects that do not necessarily imply your work, but that are outside of your private life.

This could be a year of potential in terms of your career and how you want to be perceived. Also, for some branches of astrology, the tenth house is related to being a parent.

If you are looking to have a child, this could be the year to do so. And if you already have children, being a parent may become more prominent in your life.

Jupiter in Cancer for Scorpio Risings

For Scorpio risings, this transit of Jupiter in Cancer will activate their ninth house.

The ninth house is associated with traveling, studying, and pursuing higher education. So the ninth house will invite you to study.

You may want to finish your PhD, start university again, or engage in a process that involves studying a topic intensely.

This house is also connected to philosophy, traveling abroad, and expanding one’s mind in various ways. If you feel curious about learning more about a specific something, by all means, do it!

Your mind will feel very active when Jupiter visits your ninth house. This could be an excellent year for you to double down on those topics that are exciting to you.

Jupiter in Cancer for Sagittarius Risings

Jupiter in Cancer will touch the eighth house of those who have Sagittarius rising.

The eighth house is dark. It’s associated with possessions that are not ours but belong to other people. So it’s a house related to debts, loans, investments, maybe receiving an inheritance, or using money from your audience.

In a more witchy sense, the eighth house is connected with the mysteries of life. It could be a good year for you to engage in woo-woo practices that attract you. You haven’t allowed yourself to engage with them in the past, so now you can do it.

The eighth house is connected to the unconscious, similar to the twelfth house. And for some branches of astrology, it’s also related to the things that give you pleasure. If you want to explore those areas of life, go ahead and do it this year.

Jupiter in Cancer for Capricorn Risings

If your rising sign is Capricorn, this transit occurs in your seventh house.

The seventh house is associated with marriage and partnerships. But not only that. It’s a house associated with close, one-on-one relationships.

If you are not married, nor do you want to be married, the transit impacts your closest relationships. These are the connections you have with your significant other, a family member, a friend, your therapist, or someone who knows you profoundly.

This year, you could experience changes in those relationships. Relationships could be a great source of happiness for you when Jupiter is in Cancer.

Jupiter in Cancer for Aquarius Risings

For Aquarius risings (such as myself!) Jupiter in Cancer visits our sixth house.

The sixth house is associated with habits, routines, health, and the day-to-day activities that we engage in throughout our lives.

This could be a good year to become more mindful of our habits and make better decisions in that regard.

Realizing that what we do every day makes who we are is one of the biggest lessons for Aquarius risings while Jupiter is in Cancer.

If you want to transform your identity, understand that what you do every day will change who you are eventually. Even if you only do it for 30 minutes a day.

Invest some energy and attention into creating better habits for your health, and to become who you want to become.

Jupiter in Cancer for Pisces Risings

If your rising sign is Pisces, Jupiter in Cancer will transit through your fifth house.

The fifth house is associated with all the things that make us feel abundant, happy, and expansive. It’s the house of creativity, of games, of hobbies, of play, and also the house of children.

It’s also the house of pleasure. I mentioned earlier that some branches of astrology associate the eighth house with pleasure. Others associate it with the fifth.

If you have the rising in Pisces, this could be a year for you to have fun, to explore what you enjoy doing, to invest energy in your creative endeavors.

Don’t be too rigid. Try what excites you to see where that takes you. In-joy!

I hope you find this text helpful for proactively connecting with astrology. Don’t just wait for Jupiter in Cancer to bring you gifts. Connect with the energy of this transit. Co-create your reality with the universe.

Thank you for your time, and until the next post!
